Course Syllabus
1. Accounting Fundamentals & Basics
- Introduction to Accounting: Meaning, golden rules of accounting, and the double-entry system.
- Tally Prime Setup: Software installation, company creation, configuration, and feature activation.
- Masters Creation: Creating ledgers, ledger groups, and understanding the chart of accounts.
2. Voucher & Transaction Entry
- Accounting Vouchers: Recording payment, receipt, contra, journal, sales, and purchase entries.
- Advanced Vouchers: Managing debit notes (purchase returns) and credit notes (sales returns).
Bank Reconciliation: Reconciling bank statements and managing cheques.
3. Inventory Management
- Stock Setup: Creating stock items, stock groups, and units of measurement.
- Warehouse Management: Creating godowns/locations and tracking stock transfers.
*Order Processing: Managing purchase orders, sales orders, and tracking delivery/receipt notes.
4. Taxation & Statutory Compliance (GST, TDS, TCS)
- Goods and Services Tax (GST): Setting up CGST, SGST, and IGST ledgers and generating GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B reports.
- Tax Deducted/Collected at Source: Configuring and recording TDS and TCS entries.
- E-Way Bills & Invoices: Generating e-invoices and e-way bills directly from the software.
5. Payroll & Advanced Features
- Payroll Management: Creating employee records, pay heads, attendance tracking, PF, ESI, and salary slips.
- Cost Centers: Allocating income and expenses using cost categories and cost centers.
Data Management: Taking data backups, restoring files, user security controls, and data exports to Excel.
6. Financial Reports
- Generating and analyzing the Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Account, Trial Balance, Cash Flow Statements, and Ratio Analysis.
